Drywall window slides and saddles
Board goes in through the window. A window slide, also called a window saddle, protects the frame and the sheet while the crew slides it in.
A drywall truck puts the board at the window. From there the crew slides each sheet off the forks, over the sill and into the room. Without protection the sill, the frame and the edge of the board all take a beating. A window slide sits in the opening and gives the sheet a smooth, protected path in.
