Septic tank delivery is some of the hardest work a truck mounted crane does. A concrete tank weighs several tons, it has to come off the truck and go into a hole that is rarely close to where the truck can park, and it has to be set level. The crane has to hold that weight well out from the truck, and the truck has to stay planted while it does.

- Capacity at reach, not at the column. Size the crane for the heaviest tank you set, at the farthest reach you set it
- A knuckle boom that folds away, so the truck still carries a full tank on the bed
- Stout outriggers, with supplemental outriggers where the reach and the ground call for them
- A bed and mount built for the load, reinforced where the crane and the tank put their weight
- A lifting device matched to your tanks, whether that is a tank lifter, a spreader or chains
- Radio remote control, so the operator can stand where he can see the hole
- The right chassis, with the axles and ratings for a loaded tank plus the crane
