New drywall crane trucks, built to order
Choose the truck, choose the crane, choose the options. We build the bed, mount the PM crane and deliver a drywall truck that is ready to work.
Robert's Diesel Works is an authorized PM crane dealer, and a new drywall truck from us is built around a PM crane. We do the whole job in Orlando: the bed, the crane mount, the hydraulics, the outriggers and the forks, so one shop answers for the finished truck.
Pick the reach: four, five or six stories
PM drywall cranes are sized by how high they deliver board:
- PM 450.22 for four story work
- PM 530.23 for five story work
- PM 610.24 for six story work
The PM WB 440.22 is also part of the drywall line; ask us how it compares for your work. Which one is right depends on the buildings you stock, the weight of a full fork at the window you reach for most, and the chassis it goes on. Pick the controls
- A top seat for the operator who wants to see the window
- Joystick controls at the crane
- Radio remote control, so the operator can walk the load in
- Or a combination, such as a top seat with a radio remote as backup
Pick the truck
We build on the chassis you choose, new or used: Kenworth, Peterbilt, Mack, Western Star, Freightliner, International, Volvo and others. Tag axles and pusher axles where the load and the state need them. If you already own a good chassis, we can build on it.
What goes into the build
A drywall truck lives or dies on the work nobody sees in a brochure photo. Our fabrication shop handles:
- Bed reinforcement and crossmembers sized for the crane and a full load of board
- Crane mounting behind the cab or at the rear, with the frame reinforced to carry it
- Supplemental outriggers, including the chassis attachment and the hydraulic plumbing
- Pintle hook bracing into the chassis when the truck will pull a trailer
- Forks, fork rotators and fork pads, matched to the crane. See drywall forks
